Chrosziel DSW 500

Easier lens changes when using matte boxes.
The standard rod assembly employed to hold matte boxes on larger cameras can hamper quick lens changes in the field. The laborious process of pulling the matte box free for complete access to the front of the camera is often impractical during a fast-paced shoot.
Longtime camera accessory manufacturer Chrosziel has a solution. Its patented Direct Swing-Away-System DSW 500 enables any matte box or sunshade using 15mm rods to swing away freely, according to the company.
The DSW 500 adapter offers a pivoting radius of 100mm, which provides room for nearly every lens change. For anyone who has shot regularly with various rigs, the Chrosziel name is reassuring as the German company has a good reputation for making solid gear that won't freeze up in the field.
