Dedotec Dedolight Mini DLOB

Among DPs, Dedolights have long been a favorite. The compact, solidly built lamps offer useful features not found in many other lights—including framing shutters, an iris for improved light control, and projection attachments. Now, Dedolight moves to LEDs, a useful development for such small lighting units, which are often tucked in tight quarters within sets. LEDs are not usually focusable, but the products’ trademark double aspheric optics do the trick. The wide-angle flip-up diffuser in the Mini DLOB covers the widest zoom, according to the company, and it widens the beam more horizontally than vertically. Other features include barn doors, a dichroic flip-down filter to convert from daylight to tungsten, and the ability to dim completely without any color changes.
