Focus Enhancements FS-H200
Aug 3, 2009 12:00 PM, By Dan Ochiva
Tiny hard drives anchored the first generation of portable recorders; now, the latest varieties of flash memory are fast and cheap enough to start turning up. Focus Enhancements recently released its first portable Direct To Edit (DTE) recorder featuring removable solid-state media. The FS-H200 uses standard CompactFlash cards to record DV or HDV signals. This makes it rugged too, and it records QuickTime, M2T, RawDV, AVI Type 1, AVI Type 2, Matrox AVI, and Canopus AVI (DV). Attach it directly to Mac- and Windows- based NLEs via USB or memory card reader.
