Artemis DV Pro FX
The Artemis camera stabilization system is very modular—users choose the arms, springs, etc., to fit a specific camera. The DV Pro FX version takes out some of the guesswork: Designed specifically for handheld DV and HDV cameras, it comes already complete with sled, vest, and arm. The arm features interchangeable gas-spring cartridges and comes in a choice of three payloads: 11lbs.-17.6lbs., 17.6lbs.-24.2lbs., and 22lbs.-28.6lbs. The streamlined black FX sled features a central post topped with a quick-release camera-mounting system, and the lightweight back-mount-style vest has a rugged Cordura skin. Built-in monitors on handheld camcorders are generally too small, but the Artemis DV Pro FX’s integrated LCD monitor is a big 7in. diagonally, and it offers both 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios.
