Improved Color Correction
For years, Autodesk has touted its Lustre system as a top digital color-grading rig. By IBC 2008, the company had taken to presenting the latest in Incinerator — its realtime system accelerator for Lustre — alongside. Incinerator enhances performance by using servers and networks to create a large parallel-processing system.
At that show, Autodesk debuted the most recent upgrades, Autodesk Lustre 2009 and Incinerator 2009, together as a package. Running on a new, faster hardware platform, Lustre 2009 offers new features including stereoscopic grading; improved project management; integrated audio input, output, and playback; multilayer timeline shot prioritization; timeline A/C mode sorting; customizable sensitivity settings for the Autodesk Control Surface; and enhanced interoperability with the Autodesk Flame, Inferno, Flint, and Smoke visual-effects and finishing systems. www.autodesk.com
