Rhino and Director Iain Mackenzie Team Up for Mercedes-Benz
Rhino Creative Director/Visual Effects Supervisor Vico Sharabani collaborated with Director Iain Mackenzie of Paydirt and Merkley+Partners to develop two spots introducing the Mercedes-Benz 2009 GLK model. The spots showcase the agility, beauty, and functionality of the new model as it navigates the winding streets of old Italy with ease. The footage, shot by Mackenzie, was enhanced through an Autodesk Flame color-correction system that was specifically tailored for Mercedes by Vico and Rhino lead artist Mickey Gorenstein. …

Shinebox Digital Partners with Visionary Filmmaker to Bring Charlie Thistle to Life
Shinebox Digital contributed to the success of the short film Charlie Thistle from filmmaker Bragi Schut Jr. by creating the visual effects that were an integral part of the storyline. The 15-minute film was shot on film and then color corrected to black and white while holding out specific areas of color. The script called for the gradual introduction of specific items to be colorized as the story progressed. In the final scene, the characters step out of the dull gray world and into one of full color. …
