Topics include 3:2 versus interlaced materials, mattes, masking, rotoscoping, paint tools, and keying. Additional topics include precomposing single and multiple layers, nesting layers, and understanding the rendering pipeline.

In this four-day course, students will learn about basic camera operation, chimera/soft-box use and egg crates, selecting the correct mics, professional lighting, DV editing with Apple Final Cut Pro, rendering and nesting, and how to make DVDs.
