Includes dual-link DVI and two DisplayPort connections. Price: $199
ATI seems to be back in the game with new graphics cards that look to be price/performance leaders for both the consumer and pro markets. At IBC 2008, the company announced two new models for its pro-market FirePro line. While the price point ($1,500) of the potent FirePro V8700 with 1GB of GDDR5 memory makes it most appropriate for high-end suites, entry-level pricing on the V3750 brings a powerful card to a wider market. The company claims a 30-percent performance improvement over previous-generation cards. With 256MB of frame-buffer memory and 320 stream processors, the card even features slick capabilities such as AutoDetect, which optimizes for a user's workflow.
