In our on-the-move age, having gear that allows you to produce video on location and then transmit it becomes ever more useful. VBrick Systems has a product that addresses that market: VBxStream. A recent upgrade allows broadcasters to present a PowerPoint presentation live via an internal 60GB hard drive or a high-res 8.4in LCD screen. Production is pretty simple: You'll need a microphone; broadband connection (cellular, satellite, Ethernet cable); and either the VBxStream Windows Media or VBxStream MPEG-4, which encode between 20Kbps and 4Mbps. Upgrade options include VBrick's VBPresenter software.
