As DLP technology matures, prices are dropping on projectors so much that even more powerful models are within modest budgets.
Case in point: ViewSonic's new PJD6251, an XGA (1024x768) DLP projector that offers a bright 3700 lumens output and a decent 2800:1 contrast ratio, which means it's viable even in bright rooms. The projector runs at 120Hz, necessary if you want to take advantage of its 3D capability. Bundled RJ-45 network management scheduling software allows for configuration and remote control when connected to a centralized network. The VGA output port allows you to connect an external display or secondary projector for multiple screen viewing.
