New at this year’s InfoComm, the world’s smallest test signal generator, fits in your t-shirt pocket. Wohler will introduce a uniquely designed full broadcast quality HD test signal generator that has all the functionality for most HD standards and several other user friendly features. The Penpal-HD is ideal for checking signal path integrity or to determine system performance and calibration.
All the functionality required supporting most HD standards, the Penpal-HD test signal generator has a range of 32 Video Test Patterns in 18 HD standards each of which can be combined with different audio tone settings. Its capabilities include 3 moving test patterns, pathologicals and four stereo pairs of AES audio embedded in the HD-SDI signal.
The Unique compact design of the Penpal-HD, measuring only 6 inches long and weighing less than 6 ounces makes it portable and convenient. The Penpal-HD can easily be taken anywhere you need to troubleshoot using serial digital HD video or embedded audio test signals.
It can be easily connected to any type of video equipment or patch bay via the female BNC connector using the applicable BNC cable. It can also be powered using a 3 volt power adapter. Its true portability lies in powering the unit from a 3v lithium battery.
