Providing a quick, reliable, high-quality, and totally affordable way to convert the output of analog HD video sources to standard video, the TV One AV Toolbox model AVT-3190HD scan converter allows older TV sets and monitors to receive HD signals. Perfect for home use, the device—because it converts both PC and HDTV input to NTSC or PAL output—is equally well-suited for boardrooms, conference centers, classrooms, and anywhere else requiring mixed format, multimedia conversions.
On an operational level, the AVT-3190HD makes Composite, S-Video, and Component (YCbCr or YPbPr) available at its outputs along with loop-thru input. Capable of supporting PC input up to and including UXGA (1600x1200 at 60Hz), the compact unit manages HDTV input up to 1080i, as well as VGA refresh rates extending to 140Hz.
Other features include switchable PC or HDTV inputs; built-in test signals; image zoom, pan, and positioning; a 2D flicker filter; and comprehensive aspect ratio adjustment. Control is provided via easily navigable front-panel switches or IR remote with onscreen display (OSD) and a bundled RS-232 utility.
The AVT-3190HD is now shipping and has a suggested retail price of $495. In addition to the IR remote controller and all necessary application software, other accessories included with each unit include an AC power adapter, an HD-15 to HD-15 VGA cable, 3 RCA to 3 RCA cable, RCA to RCA component cable, S-Video to S-Video cable, and a 19in. rackmount kit.
