MillimeterVaddio Announces the TrackView Camera Tracking System

Vaddio, a leading provider of specialty cameras and camera control equipment for the audio video marketplace, announced TrackView, the next generation in camera control technology, at the Polycom User Group Conference being held in Phoenix from Oct. 16-19. The TrackView's patent-pending technology is designed to control Sony PTZ cameras and provide hands-free automated camera tracking and preset control for instructor/presenter camera tracking applications.
Vaddio has pioneered and redefined the camera control industry and made it easier to design and install preset PTZ camera control systems into room-based project designs. The TrackView system incorporates camera tracking into Vaddio's camera preset control systems. This allows presenters the ability to have the camera follow them as they walk between preset camera views, and it gives system designers the pre-selected shots they want at the podium or whiteboard and when they walk between shots, ensuring they stay on camera as the system tracks them. The presenter is not required to wear anything; nor is the use of external sensors required for activating the tracking camera feature.
TrackView features the Vaddio EzCamera cabling system to provide an easy method for camera integration using Cat-5 cable for all power, video, and control, while delivering exceptional video quality that features the Sony EVI-D70 or BRC-300 pan/tilt cameras. Vaddio preset trigger devices can be incorporated into the system to activate preset camera locations in designated areas. These triggers include the AutoView IR sensors and StepView mats.
"Presenter camera tracking always has been in high demand from users in distance learning, training, and presentation rooms. Historically, users have been dissatisfied with the results of camera-tracking products,” explains Rob Sheeley, president of Vaddio. “The new TrackView by Vaddio was designed as a system, which gives the users the dependability of preset camera shots that they require as they maintain their focus on their audience, and at the same time they can stay on camera as they move between those shots."
TrackView will be available for shipment starting in November.
