All current 2575C accessories can be used with the 2575D. Price: $11,833 (head with accessories, street)
Trying to improve on a classic can sometimes ruin a product, but OConnor gives it a go with the newest “D” version of its well-regarded 2575 fluid head.
Not that you need to worry, as these are fairly minor tweaks. Improvements include ergonomic changes to controls (now all controls have been moved to the operator’s side) to provide easier adjustment and the addition of pan-bar mounting points. Other new features include dual platform scales (one on each side) and four handle rosettes to allow operation from either side of the head as well as front- or back-handle mounting.
Successful aspects of the previous “C” model, including the counterbalance specifications, have been kept, so camera operators shouldn’t feel out of sorts, according to the company.
