NAB New York - Content Creation, Conference October 23-26, Exhibition October 24-25

Welcome to New York!

For the second year in a row, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), in conjunction with Future Media Concepts (FMC), is bringing a taste of the annual Las Vegas NAB show to New York. This year, however, the conference, formerly called NAB Post+ Production, has a new name and an expanded focus.

“We've renamed the show to make it clear this is not just a show for postproduction professionals, but for anyone who is involved in the business of creating, managing, and delivering content,” says Ben Kozuch, the conference chairperson and president and co-founder of FMC.

Now called NAB New York: Content Creation+, the conference not only offers the production and postproduction sessions so popular at last year's show, but also features forums devoted to podcasting, digital photography, on-demand advertising, broadcasting news technology, and sports technology.

“The broadcast industry is changing in ways unknown to us as little as five years ago,” says John Marino, NAB's vice president of science and technology. “Nearly everyone has the ability to create digital content and distribute that content. The process can be as simple as shooting video from a cell phone for insertion into a news program, or it can be as complex a process as shooting a sporting event in HD for distribution to both HD display systems and PDA screens.

“This October, NAB New York will address the changing video landscape brought about by digital media technologies, and provide the New York market with a taste of what we typically offer at our annual Las Vegas NAB Show,” he adds. “Our hope is that NAB New York will truly be an educational event enhanced by an expo floor where attendees can see and feel some of the newest digital media products. Most importantly, we want NAB New York attendees to leave the event with practical knowledge that will be useful in their businesses and careers.”
