WWSB, a small market ABC affiliate is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join our team . The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in TV engineering management, a BSEE and a FCC general class license. SBE certification is a plus. A strong technical background is required, this is a "hands on" position and the applicant must be able to lead the engineering staff. The candidate must have extensive experience in repairing a wide variety of broadcast equipment (analog / digital video recorders, switchers, routers, servers, etc.) knowledge of Omneon servers, Sundance automation, Phillips Routers & Switchers, ENG , and RF equipment a plus. A strong work ethic, good verbal skills and the ability to prioritize and make frequent changes of tasks as directed without loss of composure. Must be self-motivated to learn and train others. The candidate needs to have budget and capital management experience.
