Melville, NY (Nov. 20, 2001) -- Chyron Corporation (OTC BB: CYRO) today announced that it has entered into a multiyear agreement to supply automation, graphics, and modular products to Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., a division of AOL Time Warner. The agreement includes Pro-Bel Sextant automation, MAPP media management, and ICON modular products. Chyron’s Aprisa 300 graphics digital disk recorders will be used for channel branding. At the request of the customer, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The equipment will be installed in Turner’s new 193,000-square-foot network operations facility now under construction. Commissioning, operational, and maintenance training are included as part of the agreement. The project is expected to be completed by mid-2003.

The Aprisa 300 DDR’s add to Turner’s current complement of Chyron products that already include Aprisa, Duet, and iNFiNiT!. The graphics systems will be networked, enabling cross-platform access for simplified content creation and redundant realtime playout. The Pro-Bel automation products will expand Turner’s existing capabilities, enabling fully redundant acquisition, storage, and playout of material on all 18 TBS networks and international feeds.

"We are very pleased that Turner, a long-standing customer, has selected Chyron to handle its mission critical automated playout and channel branding systems," said Roger Henderson, chief executive officer of Chyron. "The scalability and interoperability of our systems help broadcasters worldwide, including Turner, dramatically improve workflow efficiency in content creation and storage, signal distribution, media management, and automated playout."
