The Directors Board of Motion Pixure Arts and Technologies has issued a call for entries for the 3rd Annual "Pixie" Awards, an annual event that honors the best work in web-based entertainment.
Calling last year's winners "minor classics that shouldn't be missed," Mike Martin, founder of the Directors Board, says, "Broadband is a new medium that's just now beginning to step into the bright lights of the entertainment industry. It's borderless, boundless, and often just simply brilliant."
To win an award, all entries must pass a rigorous screening process overseen by thirty expert judges -- means only the best make the cut. To qualify for an award, all films, animations, or other motion pixures must be less than 30 minutes in length and be available online at an addressable URL. Per category submission charge is $25.00 for the first category and $20.00 each additional category. The deadline for submissions is September 1, 2002.
More information about the Pixie Awards, the submission requirements, and past winners may be found at www.pixieawards.org.
