MillimeterNew LA DV Show to Include Apple, Adobe, and Avid User Conferences

Mindshare Ventures, Inc. and Future Media Concepts in co-operation with B&H announced today the launch of The LA DV Show at the Hilton Burbank Airport and Convention Center, July 28 - August 1, 2002. The event will present the latest in digital video technology/techniques and feature celebrity keynotes, networking and special events.
The first three days are dedicated to user conferences for three important products driving the growth of Digital Video usage. Apple Final Cut Pro International Users Conference, Adobe After Effects International Users Conference and Avid Editors Conference will be co-located during this 5-day festival of activities.
The fourth and fifth day of the conference will feature general sessions to be presented by industry leaders on a range of vital topics for digital video professionals at all levels. Sessions will cover a wide spectrum of topics including production techniques, editing power tips, special effects, cameras and decks, hardware peripherals, streaming, DVD authoring, 3D animation and audio editing. Included will be sessions on products from: Adobe, Apple, Avid, Discreet, Macromedia, Microsoft, Pinnacle, and others.
This is industry's most ambitious, market driven attempt to date to showcase and stimulate authorship and development of both original and re-purposed content that is native to the interactive, digital versatile disc platform. We present 2 days of educational sessions, complimented with keynotes, guest speakers, workshops, a pavilion on the expo floor, and a first ever - The DVD Awards Competition Festival.
Rick Friedman, President and Co-founder of Mindshare Ventures states, "This past February, The NY DV Show was a grand slam. More than 7,000 video pros from TV, motion picture, Fortune 1,000 post-production and ad agencies scoured the Expo floor and special events. In response to the many requests by exhibitors for a repeat performance and to accommodate all the exhibitors who missed us in New York, we are moving our "tent" to Los Angeles to produce what may indeed be industry's largest assemblage of Digital Video users to date. "
A full-scale exhibition will be presented at the Hilton Burbank Airport and Convention Center on Tuesday, July 30, 1:00pm - 6:30pm and Wednesday, July 31, 10:00am - 7:00pm. Top industry representatives will be on-hand to exhibit products, distribute free giveaways and participate in free social and networking events.
