MillimeterProductionEAST to promote film, television, and commercial production in New York and the Northeast

Link Exhibitions (www.LinkExhibitions.com) has announced the launch of ProductionEAST, a conference and tradeshow debuting September 25th and 26th, 2002 in New York City. The event will promote production in New York and the Northeast to producers of feature and independent films, episodic television, commercials and music videos.
An extensive two-day conference will offer a range of sessions for the entire production team. Everyone from Writers, Producers, Directors, and Directors of Photography, to Camera Operators, Set Designers, Grips and Gaffers will find valuable information on location production, technical issues, and the state of the industry. Session titles will include "10 Ways to Cut Production Costs in New York," "Set Design and Lighting For High Definition Mediums" and "Bringing Home Runaway Production."
The tradeshow floor will feature exhibitors showcasing the region's leading production equipment and services - from major equipment rental companies and post-houses, to leading manufacturers of cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment. More than twenty product categories will cover the range of tools used by above and below the line professionals.
ProductionEAST will also serve as a rallying point for the local community. "New York is home to the largest commercial production community in the country. It's the center of independent filmmaking, and an increasing amount of episodic television and music videos is being produced or posted here," said Michael Gallo, ProductionEast Show Director. "ProductionEAST will be the leading educational and product-sourcing event for the region's dynamic production community, as well as any production team with an interest in the region."
