Sam Donaldson to Interview FCC Chairman Michael K. Powell at NAB 2002

ABC News anchor Sam Donaldson will interview Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Michael K. Powell in a one-on-one setting for the FCC Chairman's Breakfast, April 9 at NAB2002 in Las Vegas.
Powell was sworn in as a member of the Commission in 1997. He was designated Chairman by President Bush in 2001. In addition to his normal duties as FCC Chairman, Powell is responsible for overseeing all National Security Emergency Preparedness functions for the Commission. He previously served as the Chief of Staff of the Antitrust Division in the U.S. Department of Justice. Prior to joining the Justice Department, Powell was an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP. He graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Part of the eleventh annual NAB Business, Law & Regulation Conference, the FCC Chairman's Breakfast will provide an opportunity for attendees to hear first-hand the Chairman's perspective on key regulatory issues. It is sponsored by CIT.
