Peavey offers four new paging options for ControlMatrix
Dec 9, 2004 12:10 PM
MediaMatrix, a division of Peavey Electronics Corporation, offers four products for the ControlMatrix paging system, the Q-Host, C-Host, PCU 3-HM, and RMP-1.
The Q-Host paging system controller is a stand-alone paging control and management host integrating both software and hardware. The Q-Host is designed for Ethernet connectivity with MediaMatrix frame-based audio systems and features a stable, efficient QNX operating system to perform a variety of paging management, configuration and control functionality. The system supports thousands of paging configurations, which are accessible from the PCU Series paging stations.
The Q-Host software supports live paging or dynamic "store & forward" messaging, full zone routing, priority management and sequenced announcement paging. Support for third-party data systems such as FIDS, MUFIDS and ADA-compliant signage systems is also included, as well as provisions for pre-announce tones and other sound enhancements. Other features include zone status control and zone priority management. Audio transport is via CobraNet, and full MWare™ support is provided.
The new C-Host courtesy announcement controller is the latest addition to the growing ControlMatrix paging products line. The C-Host provides real-time access to stored message segments for assembly of public courtesy announcements, and supports multiple voice spiels in male and female voices for most common languages, including English, French, Spanish and most Eastern dialects. The C-Host is designed to work in tandem with the ControlMatrix Q-Host paging controller and supports the full range of ControlMatrix paging and announcement software. It's also network based, so implementation is easy: simple Ethernet connectivity to the ControlMatrix network provides access, while an intuitive UNIX-based interface provides user control and configuration. Audio is delivered via a CobraNet digital network, and a full array of signal processing is available via the MediaMatrix Mainframe. The C-Host provides the latest in state-of-the-art announcement control while ensuring stable, high quality audio performance.
The new PCU3-HM is a full-featured, four-button paging station designed for seamless integration with the ControlMatrix Q-Host paging controller via a variety of audio and network transports. The PCU3-HM is ideal for flush mounting, with connections terminated at removable Euro connectors for easy installation and service. Front-panel features include four programmable buttons, each with a status LED for paging status confirmation. An integrated, high quality microphone preamplifier provides a balanced line-level audio interface. The microphone includes a PTT (Push-To-Talk) switch, and a corresponding PTT status LED on the front panel indicates paging function. Additional connectivity is included for terminating the optional RMP-1 slave station. The PCU3-HM includes mounting hardware for standard NEMA 3G installation and an internal power supply that supports both DC and AC power.
The new RMP-1 slave station is designed to work in tandem with the PCU3 Series paging stations for rail and air passenger gate areas. The RMP-1 features a NEMA-mount steel package with an integrated, handheld, push-to-talk microphone. Using the RMP-1 in gate areas allows airports to provide simple, local page access at jetway entrances while maintaining a full-featured station at the podium without implementing an additional station. This provides a cost-effective option for system designers who need to implement large numbers of gate systems while still providing software control of all paging functionality. Easy connectivity is provided via RJ45 and Euro connectors for termination to the PCU3 station.
