New AICP Regional Officers Elected

Elections have taken place recently for the New York and Los Angeles regional boards of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP).
In California, Rich Carter, executive producer at Gartner in Santa Monica, Calif., is the new president of the West Board of Directors, and in New York Robert Fernandez, executive producer at Moxie Pictures with offices in New York, Hollywood, and London, was reelected to the East Board of Directors and named the new board president.
Earlier, Massimo Martinotti, president of Mia Films with offices in Miami, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, and San Jose, Costa Rica, was reelected president of the AICP’s Florida Chapter.
In California, Rich Carter succeeds Andy Traines of Anonymous Content (Culver City and New York). Serving with the new president are First Vice President Kerstin Emhoff of H.S.I. Productions, and Second Vice President Jeff Scruton of MJZ, both of whom were recently reelected to the board.
The officers serve a two-year term. Two new members joined the Board: Bonnie Goldfarb, executive producer and co-founder of harvest in Santa Monica, and Shawn Lacy Tessaro, executive producer of Biscuit Filmworks in Los Angeles. Terms of West Board members are two years.
Also reelected to the West Board were: Marjie Abrahams, RSA/USA (NY, LA, London); Rick Fishbein, Green Dot Films (Santa Monica); Ron Hacohen, BRAVO ZULU (Santa Monica); Gary Rose, Go Film (NY and Los Angeles); Andy Traines, Anonymous Content ; and Bernie Wesson, Motel Films (Los Angeles).
On the East Coast, Robert Fernandez succeeds Pam Rohs, executive producer of bi-coastal production company The Joneses (New York and Santa Monica). He will serve a two-year term with Carl Sturges, president and executive producer of Michael Schrom & Company (New York) who was elected president-elect of the East Board. Gregg Carlesimo, executive producer of bi-coastal/international @radical.media was elected to the Board for the first time.
In addition to Fernandez and Sturges, those reelected to Board seats by the East membership were: Al Califano of A-List LLC (NY); Susan Holden, Curious Pictures (NY); Kerrie King, a.k.a films (NY); and Robert Wherry, Go Film. Scott Taylor of Tayor & Taylor Ltd. (NY and LA), an insurance firm, was reelected to one of three seats designated for AICP associate members, a category of membership for non-production companies. All East Board members serve a two-year term.
In Florida, Massimo Martinotti was reelected along with fellow officers Michael Savitz of Shoot Florida, as vice president and Keith W. Rouse, as treasurer. Michael Sheerin, individual member, is the newest to join the board.
