American Cinema Editors Announces Nominees for 55th Annual ACE Eddie Awards

The American Cinema Editors (ACE) (www.americancinemaeditors.com) announced nominations for the 2004 ACE Eddie Awards recognizing outstanding editing in seven categories of film, television and documentaries. Winners will be revealed during ACE’s 55th annual black-tie awards ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005 in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where James L. Brooks will be honored with the ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award and Dave Blewitt, A.C.E. and Jim Clark will receive Career Achievement awards. There are six nominees for Best Edited Feature Film (Dramatic) due to a tie.

Nominees, as announced by the ACE Board of Directors, are as follows:

Final Ballots will be mailed on Friday, Jan. 21 with polls closing on Feb. 4. The Blue Ribbon panels take place Jan. 22 and 23 where all projects are viewed and judged by panels comprised of professional editors (all ACE members). All 530 ACE members vote on the ACE Eddies, including active members, life members, affiliate members and honorary members.
