Automatic Duck ( www.automaticduck.com), the creators of Timeline Integration Engine software for digital media artists, today announced that it has completed the process of porting its family of timeline translation solutions for Apple's Final Cut Pro to the Intel platform.

With this announcement, new versions of Pro Import FCP and Pro Export FCP ensure compatibility with new Intel-based Mac and MacBook platforms from Apple Computer.

"With Apple successfully completing its transition to the Intel platform, it was important to us that we ensure a worry-free, smooth transition for our customers as well," said Wes Plate, president of Automatic Duck. "Simplifying workflows and eliminating stress for editors is at the core of our efforts and migrating to a new platform can be stressful for customers. With these new versions, we're not only adding newer capabilities, we're eliminating all compatibility uncertainties."

Pro Import FCP Adds MovingPicture Support

Automatic Duck also announced today that as part of its Intel platform migration initiative, it has also added to Pro Import FCP the ability for customers to import image moves in Avid sequences using StageTools' MovingPicture into Final Cut Pro. The preferred plug-in of thousands of documentary editors, MovingPicture enables its users to incorporate pans and zooms to images with high image quality.

"MovingPicture has emerged as the effects plug-in of choice for editors, primarily because we place significant priority on creating pan and zoom effects tools that deliver the highest image quality possible," added Bill Ferster, president of StageTools. "With today's announcement, our customers now leverage the signature benefit of Automatic Duck -- seamless timeline import from Avid editors into Final Cut complete with MovingPicture animations."
