At the turn of the year, Chrosziel GmbH, Heimstetten, Germany, was bought by Harm Abrahams and Juergen Nussbaum. Through an MBI transaction, all shares held by Gertrud Chrosziel and Alfred Chrosziel were acquired by them.
Nussbaum is known to many in the industry due to his long-time relationship with Sachtler, a German camera support manufacturer. He has been working as a consultant since 1999, among others for Panther GmbH, Munich, Germany, as well as for Chrosziel.
Abrahams also has a long-time expertise in the motion picture and television industry. In 1988, he paved the way for the MBO of Sachtler and has cooperated with Nussbaum in further projects during the past years.
The two new owners will work as general managers: Abrahams will take care of controlling, finance, personnel, and general administration; whereas, Nussbaum will look after sales, marketing, product management, and manufacturing.
“We will continue to run the company in the same style and spirit as Alfred Chrosziel did,” Nussbaum says.
“The company is excellently prepared, offers products guaranteeing sustainable growth, which will be achieved together with our well-coordinated team,” Abrahams adds.
“I have known Mr. Nussbaum for more than 20 years, we appreciate him as well as Mr. Abrahams as competent and serious partners and we trust that our life-work is in good hands,” Alfred Chrosziel states.
For a transitional period, both the “old” and the “new” management will work jointly to provide for the utmost continuity in customer care. Alfred Chrosziel is going to continue to advise the new general managers Abrahams and Nussbaum.
