MillimeterCinecom Communication Awards Open for Submissions

San Jose, CA---The call for entries is out for the first Cinecom Awards beginning today at the Cinecomfestival.com web site. The Cinecom Awards for visual communication will award excellence by media professionals in Industrial Productions, Business Theater, Home/Consumer Productions, Commercials, Web Based Productions and other areas.
Cinecom, in its first year, will accept submissions through its Cinecomfestival.com website and will announce the winners in March 2005. The winners will be recognized as part of the Annual Cinequest International Film Festival, in San Jose, California.
“These awards will inspire, recognize and reward creativity in the visual arts,” stated Barb Vella, Executive Director of Cinecom. “Through Cinecom we want to recognize maverick media professionals throughout the United States and abroad.”
The San Francisco Bay Area used to have a communications awards program in the 90’s and once it ended media professionals in the area were no longer recognized by their peers. It is through Cinecom that attention to media production professionals from the entire United States and abroad will return to the Bay Area
