The International Documentary Association (IDA) will present a seminar on The Anatomy of Making A Successful Documentary at the Ninth Annual Cine Gear Expo at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, Calif., on Saturday, June 3, 2005. The seminar will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Building 21.

The distinguished panel features filmmakers Dana Brown (Dust to Glory), Kirby Dick (Twist of Faith), Hank Rogerson (Shakespeare Behind Bars), Mark Wexler (Tell Them Who You Are), and the legendary Mel Stuart (Four Days in November). Panelists will share what it took to bring their various projects from concept to reality. Moderated by journalist Bob Fisher, the hour-long discussion will include an open dialogue with the audience.

The IDA seminar is free with admission to Cine Gear Expo. Admission to the Expo, which runs June 3-4, is also free if you register online by May 27 or $10.00 thereafter. You can register at www.cinegearexpo.com. Seating is limited on a first-come basis.

IDA traces its roots to an informal meeting of about a dozen filmmakers in Los Angeles in 1982. They defined a need for a nonprofit organization that served as a forum where non-fiction filmmakers could share ideas and discuss and advocate issues of common interest. The organization has nearly 3,000 members in over 50 countries today. For more information about the IDA, visit www.documentary.org.

All seminar participants are subject to their availability. For more information about Cine Gear Expo, visit www.cinegearexpo.com.
