MillimeterIRIDAS to Bring Full 2006 Product Line-Up to IBC

IRIDAS, the industry leader in uncompressed playback and non-destructive grading technologies, will bring the complete 2006 SpeedGrade and FrameCycler product portfolios to IBC 2006. IRIDAS will exhibit with Ciprico (stand 7.510) from September 8 through 12 at the Amsterdam RAI.
FrameCycler DI offers uncompressed playback, conform, and primary color correction tools. FrameCycler DDS 2006 and FrameCycler Professional 2006 will be previewed at the show. SpeedGrade HD, making its debut at IBC, offers real-time color grading, conform and film finishing with video formats, including uncompressed QuickTimes. SpeedGrade HD will be featured along with SpeedGrade DI 2006 and SpeedGrade OnSet 2006.
The IRIDAS applications will play content off a Ciprico MediaVault 4440 RAID 6 storage system, channeled through Ciprico's new InfiniBand Bridge to an HP workstation. The 4440 features four channels of 4 Gb Fibre Channel, each an independent array of ten disk drives. With the four channels aggregated through the InfiniBand Bridge, the storage system offers over 1GB per second of throughput. "That means solid 4K playback and leaves plenty of room for complex color grading work with 2K material," said Patrick Palmer, IRIDAS COO. "Ciprico's storage technologies offer IRIDAS customers robust and reliable hardware solutions."
