NaturalMotion, the developer of breakthrough 3D animation technology based on Dynamic Motion Synthesis (DMS), announced the immediate availability of the Endorphin 2.5 Student Edition. The Endorphin Student Edition contains all the same powerful features found in the Endorphin 2.5 commercial version, including fully enabled export functionality; however, it is only available to students and teachers and is not to be used for commercial production. A single license retails at USD $995 and is available for immediate purchase from NaturalMotion's online store at www.naturalmotion.com.

"We introduced our free Endorphin Learning Edition less than five months ago, and have had an overwhelming response with more than 17,000 registered users," says Richard Craig-McFeely, sales and marketing director for NaturalMotion. "We have also been inundated with requests for a student and teacher edition. This response and our strong commitment to next-generation animators prompted us to create this student edition at an almost 90 percent discount. Furthermore, eligible customers can also benefit from a 17,000-strong user community."

Endorphin is the only character animation software to use DMS, a technology based on artificial intelligence controllers that imitate the human nervous system. Unlike conventional animation techniques such as keyframing or motion capture, Endorphin's DMS technology uses the CPU to simulate the brain and body of 3D characters, which allows animators to synthesize human movements in realtime. Used by leading production and animation companies such as The Mill, Sony Computer Entertainment, Namco, Giant Killer Robots, CIS Hollywood, and Moving Picture Company, this approach produces directed and fully-interactive 3D characters that essentially animate themselves with real-life movements that are unique every time; thus dramatically reducing animation asset production time.

Pricing and Availability

The Endorphin Student Edition is available now to students and teachers for USD $995 through NaturalMotion's online store at www.naturalmotion.com. Customers purchasing the Endorphin Student Edition will receive a comprehensive electronic product manual and support via NaturalMotion's Endorphin forum. A commercial license of Endorphin retails at USD $9,495 and is available through NaturalMotion and its reseller network.
