MillimeterGenArts Announces New Training Guide for Sapphire Plug-ins 2 on Avid

The book follows GenArts’ recent release of Sapphire Plug-ins version 2 for Avid products and provides users with a complete training guide on the effects package, including a companion DVD featuring sample projects and actual broadcast examples.
Sapphire 2 delivers the next evolution of visual effects for Avid users, featuring over 45 new effects and a variety of usability enhancements. In addition to the many new effects, version 2 for Avid leverages the AVX 2 feature set, offering many more improvements for the Avid artist. The Sapphire Plug-ins 2 for Avid guide is intended to bring customers both new and old up to speed on the latest release, enabling them to take full advantage of the improved functionality. The book covers a number of common parameters used in many Sapphire Plug-ins, offers a thorough analysis of the more popular Sapphire effects, and suggests ways to work with them in multi-layered, advanced techniques.

Sapphire Plug-ins 2 for Avid was co-authored by Todd Prives and Jaime Fowler. Todd Prives is the Sapphire plug-ins product marketing manager and GenArts’ demo guru. Jaime Fowler has previously written four books about editing with Avid software and was the editor for six Emmy-winning television programs.
