2006 Seattle International Film Festival Call for Entries

SIFF is now accepting submissions for the 2006 Seattle International Film Festival. With omore than 450 screenings of 220 features and 100 shorts in 25 days, SIFF is the largest film festival in the United States. Attracting over 150,000 filmgoers a year, SIFF is a great way to get your film seen by a large audience.
This year, in addition to our Golden Space Needle Audience Awards, SIFF is proud to offer $22,500 in cash prizes in the following juried categories:
- $5,000 - New Directors Competition (International 1st and 2nd time directors)
- $5,000 - New American Cinema Competition (American films without US distribution)
- $5,000 - Documentary Competition
- $2,500 - Short Film: Live Action
- $2,500 - Short Film: Animation
- $2,500 - Short Film: Documentary
These internationally juried awards are given for excellence in filmmaking, form, and content. Additional prizes of goods and services may also be awarded.
Films presented at SIFF are also eligible for qualification for the IFP Independent Spirit Awards, one of only seven festivals in the United States chosen by the Independent Feature Project to qualify films.
SIFF is seeking features, documentaries, short films and animation for the 32nd annual festival. Festival dates are May 18 through June 11, 2006.
Deadlines are:
- Dec. 1, 2005: Early Submission deadline
- Jan. 1, 2006: Regular Submission deadline
- Feb. 1, 2006: Final Submission deadline
