Sundance Institute’s 21st Annual Independent Producers Conference
May 24, 2006 11:38 AM
Presented in the mountains of Sundance, Utah, the Producers Conference August 3-6, 2006, gives you the unique opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with some of the best minds in the independent film business. It is an intensive weekend of panels and small group sessions on topics like marketing, distribution, finance, and the elusive art of pitching.
Join other filmmaking, writing, and producing colleagues to discuss how current market factors such as economic forces and new technologies are changing the way independent films are made.
This year, the Conference will have a special focus on documentary film. Considering how much the world of documentary film has evolved, it is fitting to explore these changes. There will be a special panel to discuss theatrical possibilities for documentary film and the changing production and distribution scenarios. Our featured guest on this panel will be Sheila Nevins, President, HBO Documentary.
To get an application for the Independent Producers Conference and see a list of past panelists, go to www.sundance.org or email producers@sundance.org for more information.
Application deadline is May 26, 2006
