MillimeterDNF Controls' Products to Support Grass Valley M-Series iVDR

LAS VEGAS -- DNF Controls, a global provider of field-proven control solutions for the broadcast and production industries, announced that it will develop products and modify some existing products to support the Grass Valley M-Series iVDR intelligent video digital recorder from Thomson Broadcast & Media Solutions.
DNF's support for the M-Series iVDR, a VTR replacement, is the latest in its long-term support for Grass Valley brand products. DNF has provided a wide range of products to support the needs of Grass Valley Profile users--from instant clip access to playlist playout to sports controllers.
"DNF Controls is a long-time Profile supporter and has shown innovation in creating control solutions for our video server systems," said Marc Valentin, president of Thomson Broadcast & Media Solutions. "We expect similar ingenuity as the company applies its talents to the new M-Series iVDR."
The M-Series iVDR is designed to complement the Emmy award-winning Profile line of digital video platforms. Currently, DNF Controls' products support thousands of Profile channels in broadcast studios and newsrooms, mobile production trucks, and fixed-venue facilities across the globe. In these same environments, DNF Controls' DMAT-O sports controller and the M-Series iVDR will work together to allow operators to record live action for playback or store hundreds of background video clips for instant recall during a live broadcast.
