Michael Lentz is a freelancer animator and visual-effects artist with a studio located in Washington's Adams Morgan district. He also co-owns of a five-year old animation company called Coolbeans. His company creates a wide range of art and animation for clients such as Discovery Channel, Smithsonian Channel, Animal Planet, National Geographic Channel, PBS, and the History Channel. Prior to this, Michael worked for the National Geographic Television Art Department for 10 years. In this position, he became an accomplished artist and animator, developing elements for numerous Emmy award-winning shows such as Explorer.
His Reel-Exchange profile features samples of various TV shows he has worked on in the last couple years. Through 15 years of experience, Michael is skilled in all phases of animation production from concept to completion, in both high- and standard-definition. Though proficient in most state-of-the-art tools, he primarily uses Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects.
