Scott Simmons has been a creative non-linear editor since 1999, assisting for several years before that. After eight years of freelancing, he joined with the Nashville-based Filmworkers Club (a full-service postproduction and film-transfer house with offices in Chicago and Dallas as well) in July 2007. He prides himself on his versatility as an editor—cutting everything from music videos to concerts, narrative projects to television, documentary to commercials. Scott is fluent and can move back and forth between Apple Final Cut Pro and Avid applications on a daily basis. He also uses the Adobe Creative Suite.
His Reel-Exchange profile includes an editor demo reel completed at the end of 2007 that serves as a quick example of his versatility with music videos, television, multi-camera presentations, and commercials. Also featured on Scott’s profile is the music video for Taylor Swift's "Our Song." This video was the winner of Video of the Year, as well as the Female Video of the Year at the 2008 CMT Music Awards.
