EnhanceRAID R14 HDS for Axio HD
Massive high-speed storage arrays certified to work for HD editing, and at a fraction of the cost of only a few years ago — that sort of setup is no longer a fantasy. A new offering from Enhance Technology and Matrox proves the point. Take the EnhanceRAID R14 HDS (high-definition storage), recently certified by Matrox for use with its Axio HD workstations and board-sets for realtime video editing. The setup can handle multiple streams of uncompressed 10-bit 1080i HD. The dual-RAID controller system uses Atto Technology's ExpressPCI UL5D U320 SCSI host adapter. The EnhanceRAID R14 HDS, meanwhile, offers a web-based GUI, which provides remote storage control.
