Receiving quality video over the Web looks like a good idea, whether for subsequent posting of the video on the Internet or for production use. iNCoder Pro — which was designed by Framecaster for broadcasters, news organizations, reality-TV producers, and video-sharing sites that receive video submissions — can be triggered for uploading and encoding via a simple plug-in installed on the user's computer. The rackmounted device encodes incoming video (from any DV camcorder, webcam, or mobile phone) to various video formats — including H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, 3G, Flash 8 (VP6), and Windows Media.
