At IBC 2006, Bluefish444 introduced a realtime MPEG-2 encoding system for HD formats up to 1920×1080i60. The Rage N|Code accelerates HD MPEG-2 output from Adobe Premiere Pro and Autodesk Cleaner XL. The software/hardware hybrid system combines an HD|Fury single-link HD/SD-SDI card, Aspex's new Accelera 3000 Advanced Video Encoder PCI-X card, and Bluefish444's Symmetry acquisition, review, and playout software. Bluefish444 is positioning the system as a solution for archiving HD content, high-def DVD authoring, and distribution to IPTV networks.
