Modus FX Integrates Seamless Effects Into "Jane Eyre"
Apr 20, 2011 3:25 PM
Modus FX provided visual effects shots for Cary Joji Fukunaga's retelling of “Jane Eyre.” Because the story is set in the mid-19th century English countryside, the CG for this project had to blend seamlessly. Along with removing signs of modern life from a number of shots, the team at Modus changed the season in which several sequences are set, and also digitally altered the environment to create the burned-out ruins of Thornfield Castle.
"Our work had to support the mood of the story and the scenic locations," says Yanick Wilisky, vice president of production and VFX supervisor at Modus.
